Heptares Therapeutics has appointed Daniel Grau to president.

Grau, who has been a senior advisor to Heptares focused on business development and corporate strategy since 2010, will have responsibilities for corporate and commercial development.

“I am delighted that Dan has joined our executive team at Heptares,” says Malcolm Weir, Heptares’ chief executive officer. 

Grau is a member of the Product Advisory Board of Concert Pharmaceuticals Inc. Previously he served as president and chief executive officer of Cortria Corp., chief operating officer of CombinatoRx Inc. (now Zalicus), and as a business consultant to Pharmacia Corporation (now Pfizer).
