Setaram offers their µSC MicroCalorimeter, which has a temperature range of -40 to 392 F. The unit has two measuring wells for sample throughput, which can be removed and reused. Zero cross talk is achieved, even in the most sensitive isothermal operations, by utilizing two independent references.
Isothermal and scanning operations are available to enable the study of both transitions and long term isothermal behavior, such as stability and long term reactions.
The μSC utilizes the Calvet 3D Sensor, which uses Peltier elements that surround the sample together with direct (Joule Effect) calibration.
The unit is intended for hyperthermophile proteins, energetic materials (long term stability), and API-excipient or food substances interactions.
